During our onsite Forest School sessions Nursery have been looking for worms!聽 We聽 found聽them under logs and whilst digging in the mud kitchen.聽 Together we made a wormery in a large jar聽by layering mud and sand, adding dead leaves and vegetable peelings and last of all聽everyone聽was encouraged to add a worm!聽 The jars were then left in a dark cool place for half term. The nursery children聽noticed that over half term the worms had been聽very busy, mixing the聽sand and mud together, and the leaves and peelings had started to聽decay.聽 Once we had made our observations the worms were released back into the聽Forest School environment.
