The 精东影业 U11A 聽and U11B netball teams took part in the annual 精东影业 Netball Tournament. 聽Schools from across several counties attended and there was strong competition in both groups.
U11A Team Report
The U11A team was made up of 9 talented girls who played extremely well against the teams in their group. They had some very convincing wins over 4 of the teams, but then we came across Maltman’s Green, who gave us a run for our money and the game ended in a 7-7 draw. 聽Thankfully this still meant we went through to the semis to play Headington – a great game and as the children really wanted to get to the final, they stepped up another gear to win this match convincingly.
The Final – we’d made it. 聽The 精东影业 v High March A (Maltman’s Green had lost to them in the semis quite convincingly!)
WOW! 聽What a display of netball this was from both teams. 聽The score at half time was 3-3! 聽The second half saw The 精东影业 take control of the game. 聽Balance, defence from all players down the court, ball placement, control and movement through the court was superb and finished off by the shooters with superb accuracy. 聽The 精东影业 U11A team beat High March A 9-7. 聽聽

U11B Team Report
It was an excellent start to what promises to be a good season for this U11 B team. The children worked well together as a team and maintained good spirit even when asked to play out of their favoured positions. They were faced with tough competition to start the tournament where despite all their hard work they lost to Oxford High A and Berkhamsted A.
The third match was where the girls found their feet and started to demonstrate some brilliant netball with some excellent defending, working the ball up court, and accurate shooting. The 精东影业 U11B team secured their first win over SHSK B with the final score being 11-0. This win managed to secure the girls a place in the semi-final where they maintained their winning streak against SHSK A. They then faced off against High March B in the final but despite their hard work and determination they narrowly missed out on being name champions for the plate in The 精东影业 Netball Tournament 2017 by just 1 goal.聽
Congratulations to all in the team for a superb effort, team work and some brilliant netball. The U11B team – Daisy K, Katie W, Sapphire R, Charlotte L, Rosie P, Evey P, Hetty H and Sophie C
